Question Plastic Models

Does anyone know where I can find a plastic model of a 69-72 Chevy? I have tried looking online with no luck so far.

Thanks,
Tommy

Fine69 had some for sale awhile back. He's got quite a few. Don't know if he wants to sell them seperately or all together? Might try and contact him.

Smile I've got one

I have a '72 long fleet by AMT. Unassembled, but I did take the plastic off and separated a few parts from the trees. (Kids) It's all there, though. $10 plus shipping?

Looking for long or short fleet. Don't know if MrGoodpliers is still gonna have one to sell me, but even if he does, I would definitely enjoy more than one.

Thanks everyone.

Ertl/AMT makes the '72 C10 mentioned above. I built one when i was like 13. It isn't a very detailed model...only like 74 pieces or something like that. Great for a beginner though.

Ertl/AMT also used to make a '72 GMC shortbed stepside model, but it has been discontinued. I remeber building one when i was like 8, and a few years ago i bought one from Chevy Duty. It is also not a very detailed model....the tooling was proably made back in the '70's or something.

When i was 13-14 i built model cars 24/7 and got pretty good too. It is mainly what got me into the muscle car thing, and partly these trucks too

However, when i tried to build the '72 GMC i discovered to my dismay that i was no where near as good as i was when i was in middle school, and it came out looking like crap

Oh well....i finially graduated to the real thing

If you're trying to find a '72 you won't have any problem. The other year are not represented in model kits - no '68 for example and no I'm not bitter. I wish the model companies would read sites like this board to get in touch with "the people".

WE NEED A '68 CHEVY TRUCK MODEL KIT! Hey - why not package a Chevy/GMC kit with different front ends and mouldings - that would make everyone happy.

'05 Sierra 4x4 - Had 270,000 KM and running well when it was written-off by a stop sign runner.
'94 F-150 from the "F word" company. I'll admit it...good truck. Sold what was left of it for $800 to a guy who came to pick it up at 11:00 PM with cash in hand. Hmm.
'79 Sierra Grande (Black) organ donor - perfect rebuildable 4-bolt 350 and a good TH350.
'76 Sierra Grande (Orange) - hate isn't too strong a word. Kid who bought it turned it into a hot rod.
'68 C-10 R.I.P. - Dad's old truck...too far gone to resurrect.
'59 C-50 - with hoist. Truck is gone, wife isn't. Nuff said.

I never thought of that. It would be inexpensive for them and lure more buyers. I just figured these trucks were so popular that I could find a model at Wal-Mart or one of the model makers' websites. But nope.

Anyway, I sure am glad this board is here. What I really want though is a real truck.

Wow...nice work!

Are those all based off the two AMT model kits out there or something else!

Makes me want to get back into the hobby!

Very nice work on the models.

The camper pulls on my heart strings - when I was a kid my parents had a camper on the '68 that I'm building.

Would you believe that the '68 had a 250 L6 and still grunted up hills with that big camper on its back?
