Tow hook comparison
Someone asked about bolt holes on the tow hooks on this thread http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...threadid=84952 . Here is a side by side pic. They are the same size and location on the 67-68 hooks as they are on the 71-72 hooks. The holes on the frame are probably not in the same location however.

Since I see alot of threads on tow hooks I am assuming they are fairly rare? Were they offered on 1/2 ton trucks or just 3/4 up?

1/2 tons, 3/4 tons, 1 tons, 2 wheel drive and 4 wheelers.

thank you da burb, I was curious because it seems that the 67-68 hooks sell for a bit cheaper nowadays, and I like the way they are designed a little more, seems like the rope or chain would have a harder time falling out of the loop.
does anyone have a picture of one of these mounted in the 69-72 location?

as I think we discovered in this link, the 67/68 hooks have the open end toward the front of the truck, where the 69-72 have it toward the rear. it looks to me like the 67/68 would mount with no difficulties in the same spot.
