I painted mine a while back and tried to get close to what the original color would have been. I ended up using Dupli-Color 12 Ounce Chevrolet Orange-Red Paint (DE1607).

Thanks. I used a 000 brush and Testors model paint. Similar to the brush in the link. And no coffee that morning.
