Radio antenna

On my vacation I got a crack in my windshield.

My C10 has the fender antenna, but i prefer the look of the windshield antenna.

As I just got my truck running again. I need to replace the windshield. Along with continuous lying to myself I will 'install" a radio this year.

So is there any performance difference between the windshield vs fender antenna?

Re: Radio antenna

In the DFW area with the windshield antenna on my 74, the AM does not work as well as the FM does. I thought about putting in the fender antenna but did not want to drill hole in it. My newer vehicles work better on AM.

Re: Radio antenna

cleaner look work pretty if you're in area that has good radio waves outside of town can be spotty you can buy inline booter in. the better taller fender antenna will all was pick weaker station. If you pretty far out town and far from towers some trouble now, then you may not like the glass mount antenna. I hope this helps
