Help me ID wheels please
I'm usually hanging out in the 67-72 side of things, but came across these 6 lug wheels that I need help identifying. They are a matching set of five and each has GM stamped on them. They are 16 inch and narrow. Currently ancient 6.5-16 tires in place. Clips for hubcaps on inside. Half ton Napco?

Re: Help me ID wheels please
I believe that style hubcap clips means prior to 1954.5
For trucks, 16x4 rims were original prior to '51, 16x4.5 after that. body color with pinstripe was deluxe trim, rest were black Seems weird now but 15" rim was an option for heavy duty 1/2 tons, they came with a heavier ply truck tire in 15". Those could even be Chevrolet car rims prior to 1949 (ish), not sure how you tell car from truck if there is a difference. |

Re: Help me ID wheels please
As Leegreen said they went from 4 to 4.5 somewhere in the production years.
You can scroll down the list https://www.gm.com/heritage/archive/...formation-kits 48 up through what ever year and open up the vehicle info kits and on pre 60 or so they give a lot of detailed info on these trucks On the 48 you had to scroll down to page 55 of 65. It looks like 51 and later had 16x4.5 wheels 48 had 16x4 and I can't find any thing on 49/50 or my eyes have gone bad.
