Seat swap

My 89 K2500 came with a 40/60 front seat and I found a 60/40 seat out of a newer truck, I think mid to late 90s.

Went to swap it in and NONE of the bolt holes line up. Looks like I am drilling and putting bolts up or down to mount this stuff. I MIGHT be able to make a plate for the outer bolts on either side, but the inner bolts will be custom fit.

If anyone has already been down this path I could use any help or insights for the project.

Swap the brackets.....

Yeah, use ur brackets on the later sesrs. 98 to 94 is on type seat 95 to 98 are different design and use different bracket. But I have use Ealy model brackets on later design seat without any issues
With 99 there are 3 style depending on 1500 or 2500/3600 models 2600s had whole new design and don't interchange withe the early brackets. The 3500_2500 are should a me as the earlier models

The brackets won't work. There are four bolt holes on the drivers side floor board and two holes on the passenger side next to the door. There are two bolt holes 3 inches left of center. I need two holes 3 inches right of center.

The new passenger seat has four holes in the bracket to fit two bolt holes and the new seat is on 13 inch span as opposed to the 10 inch span on the floor

Remember, I am switching from 40/60 (bucket on the driver side) to 60/40 (bucket on the passenger side)!

I think I can use 2x1/8" steel strap to make a plate to hold the outside of each seat, but need help with the four center holes.

This is the 10 inch span of the old seat.

This is the 13 inch span of the new seat. Sorry its upside down!

This is the bolt holes on the left side of the trans hump

This is the bottom of the new driver's seat. It shares the 13 inch span with the bucket seat.

I think I will need corresponding holes on the right of the trans hump for the seat.

I have always transferred the old truck brackets to the new sear. Seemed the holes on the bottom of the seats always matched with each other. The floor holes were the only thing that differed.
