Qualy air universal AC kits

Hey guys it’s been a while since I’ve been on here and I’ve asked about adding AC/Heat to my truck before. Vintage air is out of my price range for sure. So I’m looking at the universal AC/Heat kit. I’ve been looking at the Qualy air kit does anyone have any info on those or have used it. I’d like to have defrost as well if you guys have a option with that

Re: Qualy air universal AC kits

I can not give an opinion on the system you are showing in the above post.

However I can now give an opinion on the summit under dash unit you posted a couple of months ago of Universal Air Conditioner Under-Dash Unit UN0894C.

I did not know about these very inexpensive units til you posted it around 2 or 3 months ago. I thank you for posting.

I bought it and purchased the rest of the parts separately. I already had a heater in the truck and didn't want to change or alter it, so this unit filled my needs. I'm only posting on whether these cheaper units make cold air, I can't say if the one you posted above will provide good hot air also.

As of yesterday I did my first test and it did exactly as expected, air temp was lower 30s coming out of the unit. Now, my shop was in the lower 60s so I can't say if it'll cool a truck cab when it's near 100 degrees out.

I had all 3 speeds working but can not verify if the adjustable temp switch was working accurately due to the cab not being summer time hot.

As I usually do, I did not install mine as everyone else does so my cost was slightly higher to gather the needed parts. I took pictures along the way and will post them another day. Yet, the sales price you show is pretty good.

One item you will need beyond the kit you show is a mounting bracket for the compressor.
