i am working on my 51 and need some info on the fender to cowl small filler panels. i am aware of where the L shaped ones are mounted but not sure where the other smaller ones are mounted. can someone tell me where it goes? i received 2 per side when i ordered them.

I think this is what you're looking for, there's only 1 per side ( driver side is a different shape, more of an L). You can get a different style here https://lsfab.com/47-54-gmc-chevy-tr...c-chevy-truck/

not sure, cuz it's been awhile since an AD has been around here, but maybe it is an either or kinda thing. looks like both have the same bolt pattern

Originally those staples held some material that sealed off the gap around the edge of those pieces to keep mud and water from being slung up into the engine compartment.

I don't think any of the cabs I have have that stuff in good enough shape to even get an idea of what it used to be.

My ongoing truck projects: 48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six. 71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant. 77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.
