Hey Everyone (please take a minute to read)
First and foremost, I hope everyone had a safe and healthy holiday season. Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanzahh and New Year. If I missed any, I apologize and hope it was well.
I have been barely here since my parents had gotten sick in 23. This is not an excuse, just an explaination. Our kids (the olders) grew up and moved out. We went from a family of 7 in our home, to just our sweet Ryleigh (she is 13 now) at home. Parents are now gone, I work full time as a Life Enrichment Coordinator at our local Assisted living, and am going to school full time. I am grateful that we could be with my parents daily. Josh's momma passed in that time, as did my x mother in law. I have said I am back and ready to get stuff done, but life slapped me each time. I feel we are in a decent place now and I am here trying to catch up on a bunch Oh yeah, we got married 11/16/24 Just keep an eye out for spam please. I am accepting new members and trying to fix old accounts. Spam gets through, we all know it I appreciate your patience and thank you for still being members. I imagine it was frusterating at times. Remember to thank our Mods, or at least respect them. If it was not for Palf and all the ones working daily to help... well we know it would be bad. Thank you to all, if you have any folks you know need help, PM me. I appreciate it. |

Re: Hey Everyone (please take a minute to read)
Liz, thank you so much for the updates, and of course thanks to you, Josh, and all the mods who keep this place humming along. I'm sorry to hear of your losses, though it sounds like your plate is more than full these days. I frequent a couple other boards at times but this place is the best by far, and has seemed like a home for more than 21 years.

Re: Hey Everyone (please take a minute to read)
Praying for your Peace of Mind.
I try not to forget to ask Jesus for help, when crazy gets crazier...It does make a difference!!! I was nearly killed in a car wreck in the summer of 22. I should not have made it to the hospital alive (2 broken vertebrae in my neck), much less being completely healed AND working my job (I'm a mechanic). I'm still healing in some areas. I am thankful!!! |

We all just keep plugging along. I hope you do get to spend more time on here. I would like to see an update from Josh about his Panel Truck one of these days if he still has it. .

Re: Hey Everyone (please take a minute to read)
Thank you. When my mom went into the home, I spent a bunch of time there. Then we moved my dad in. The LEC left the position and I ended up taking it. I get frusterated some days, but most days are great. Knowing I can help make someone that has no family happy is amazing. About half of our seniors have no family or none local.

Congrats on getting married, that has to be a nice blessing amongst all the other chaos of life. I can only imagine the blessing you are to some of those elderly people in need!

Re: Hey Everyone (please take a minute to read)
Liz, as always I would like to thank you, Josh, the board moderators and all the members here who have made this board what it is today. Without the knowledge and assistance from you, Josh, the board staff and a multitude of members here many members here would not have been able to save, maintain and enjoy the pleasure of owning and driving these classic trucks. Sorry to read of the hardship and losses you have dealt with but it is good to read of the many happy times that you have experienced also. Life as it happens for everyone has it's ups and downs as it's all part of the one's life experience. How a person meets those trials and hardships and then moves on in life tells much as to the character of that person.

Hard to express any more than Ironhorse and the others have. But as I stated in the linked thread this is the best place around. Heartfelt thanks to you and Josh.

Re: Hey Everyone (please take a minute to read)
THank you for all you do around here.. I try to check in at least once a day, but much like you, we are crazy despite trying to symplify our lives. Sue is nearing dyalisis and she has a very bad hip so that she almost cannot walk and is usually in a wheelchair when we go out. She had to trade her truck in on a subaru so she can get into it, although she never drives. I think of you all often and keep you all in our prayers.

Re: Hey Everyone (please take a minute to read)
Liz
It seems the older we get the more we realize how valuable our time and family and friend are to us. The holidays seem to show this the most. The people that have passed on, A person just has to try to remember all the good times and memories shared. Your Assited Living job, I am sure is both challenging and Rewarding at the same time. That speaks volumes that you would do this service. Congratulations on your Marriage. So, Who did you marry? The Moderators do a Great job. This is my First Go to Every Morning.
