66 c10 lower control arm bushings
Decided to dig into remove and clean up my upper and lower control arms as they are one of the last things I haven't touched yet. Bushings weren't sloppy or loose but after removing them I noticed the threads on the bushings and corresponding threads in the control arm weren't looking so hot. The bushings are no biggie but im wondering if the arm itself is shot

Re: 66 c10 lower control arm bushings
I think as long as the shafts are straight and the new bushings thread all the way in and tighten (some are very tight before they even get close to seating), that the arms are ok to use. Pay attention to how the threads start and how many turns you get on each one so that you end up with the shafts in the center of the arm.
