help with tire size
I have a 72 k20 with 4" rough country spring lift. debating on installing 33" or 35" tires. I will be mounting them on 10" wide x 16" diameter wheels
motor is stock 350. basically a road princess. wondering what others thoughts are on this combo thanks |

Re: help with tire size
K20 will have a minimum 4.10:1 gear ratio, so the 33"-35" tire size will actually make the truck much easier to tolerate at highway speeds, and the 350 will have enough torque to move it adequately.

guy at tire shop was a little negative on 35's checking to see if anyone had negative experience with the 35 vs 33 ie.. rubbing or ride things |

Re: help with tire size
My '68 has a 2" lift with 285/75-16's (equal to 33's), no rubbing at all. Drives great.

Re: help with tire size
1972 K20 around 5” lift in the rear and 4”+ a little in the front because of the dana 60 I swapped in, 315/75R16 (as similar as you will get with 16” wheels to 35’s) on 10” wheels. 350/SM465. Runs about 2600 RPM at 70 MPH. Doesn’t rub under normal driving conditions, and have only had it run once or twice off road fairly flexed out.
