Generic Cast Iron Exhaust Manifolds for LS 6.0
All,
I purchased a set of Generic Cast Iron exhaust manifolds for the 6.0 I have installed in my 55.1 CMG 100. They are 2.25" with a 2 bolt collector. Am I to assume that any 2 bolt with 2.25" opening will work for my muffler system? Jeg's sells these? https://www.jegs.com/i/Hooker-Header...13205/10002/-1 As Always thanks for your time!

Re: Generic Cast Iron Exhaust Manifolds for LS 6.0
If you have what I believe you have from doing some searching a 2-1/4 inch lead pipe with a flat 2 bolt flange is what you are going to want similar to the one I have shown here but most likely not stainless. That was the first "right shape" photo I found.
I'll be honest, I am done trying to do my own exhaust on anything I own that isn't a beater rig. I'll load the truck on the trailer and haul it up to Nvrdone's hood to the guy who is building some real nice custom exhaust and let him have a fit because I took along a pair of Porter Mufflers. They wouldn't be right for an LS to get that LS sound though. I'd have to find out what mufflers my buddy Josh had on his old Daily driver 2 K or so Chevy truck to match the sound that truck had.
