6 or 5 inch ac pulley

I need a new ac compressor. I noticed four seasons has two listed for our truck on rockauto. One with a 5.12 inch pulley and one with a 6 inch pulley. Has anyone had any luck with the 6 inch? I had issues getting the 5.12 to not slip when it was on.
Thanks.

Are those both A6 compressors? The R4 compressors have larger pulleys. The only application I'm aware of for large diameter A6 compressor clutches was on the hot rod V-8s of the era, since the expectation is that the hot dog owners would be revving them higher.

If it's slipping, find a different belt to bite better. The cog style work well on my 5 inch. No slip. Make sure no wax or grease on the grooves.

What size belt did you end up using?

Goodyear 15565. Nice fit. Flat outside clogged inside.

Those compressors fit all applications of the era of GM vehicles, I think. I ought to start a poll about how many trucks had the large pulley. I'd bet on zero, tbh. But then I've seen things on these trucks that no one would ever expect.
