Brake booster replaced, now brakes are VERY sensitive

I really have to be careful now and just feather the brakes. It doesn't take much to lock the brakes up. Any ideas?

Re: Brake booster replaced, now brakes are VERY sensitive

Adapting to the now working power brakes. A busted booster gives a brake feel that is harder then standard brakes. If that is what you have trained on for the last several weeks, a fully functional power brakes system will seem very sensitive.

Many years ago, I dreaded switching from driving my car, a 68 Impala with standard brakes to my dad's 75 C10(now mine) with power brakes. Locked the PU brakes up many times.

It will take some time but you should eventually get used to your working brake booster.

This one is WAY past "harder than standard". It's not just me... There is something going on here. But thank you!

Is it possible there is too much vacuum?
