1972 Chevrolet K20 TH350 Automatic Shift/Control Linkage Rod

Afternoon,

I have been trying to track down a replacement shift linkage rod that runs from the steering column down to the transmission shift linkage for my 1972 Chevrolet K20 with TH350 automatic. The one on my truck has been cut on the top end near where it runs through the bolt on the steering column side. This has left me with little to no adjustment. I would prefer a stock style shift/control road vs the generic shift linkage kits from CPP and Lokar. Has anyone been able to find a vendor that sells a stock style replacement? I am struggling to find one after a lot of research on line. I would appreciate any wisdom or guidance. Picture below of an example of what I need from a fellow member:

Thank you. I have been looking. There is nothing available. I have reached out to a few folks on the forums just in case. Curious if anyone with a k10 or K20 has used the generic kits. I tried it and just didn’t feel right. Thanks again Jim. Micah

I can get you a measurement of what it should be. Then you can source the correct size of rod and weld on more to get you back to factory. Reach out if you need the measurement.

Hey Jim, thanks for throwing our name out there on the automatic transmission shift linkage parts but Micah is correct, we are currently sold out of the K/4wd setups. For others searching, we do have both option #1/2wd BBC-TH400 and #2/2wd SBC-TH350/400 trans shift linkage setups available ready to ship out, check out the below linked parts board f/s thread if interested. Thanks again, Mel

Micah, per your most recent pm on purchasing the rod alone, here are a few pics of the K/4wd specific main shift linkage rod that we can get packaged up and headed your way. Let us know and thanks again for the inquiry, Mel

Just trying to help out a fellow truck owner, you seem to be a good person, or I wouldn’t have suggested you

Keep on keeping on

msulli54, our last couple of pm's have went unanswered, can we get a courtesy reply/update on your above inquiry? Several days have passed since the above info and pics were returned, the pulled K/4wd shift linkage rod is still sitting atop the outgoing bench. Thanks, Mel
