71 steering in 65 Questions

I have installed a complete 71 cross member and steering in my 65. I am retaining the manual steering for now. The 71 pitman arm seems to locate the steering linkage properly. I can’t get the idler arm to line up to the chassis at all. For anyone that has done this what idler arm did you use? Also what brake hose did you use as the 71 hose appears to be too short.
