Anyone hide/reroute windshield washer hoses?

Hey searched a bit for pics of how anyone has hidden or rerouted their wiper hoses. Only found two on previous gen trucks.

Trying to clean up the firewall where reasonable. I’m debating on these hoses. I don’t like where they come out

Anyone got some pics?

Re: Anyone hide/reroute windshield washer hoses?

Changing to an '88-'93 S-10 washer reservoir with integrated pump (GM1288137) eliminated washer fluid hoses through the firewall. It cleaned it up a bit. I used one of the holes to route the washer pump power leads. The hose and wiring could be routed inside the fender to hide more of the connections. I kept them accessible, so they're wrapped with the hood lock and brake switch lead.

That's a clean installation. Any issues bypassing the oem pump?

Re: Anyone hide/reroute windshield washer hoses?

I did the same conversion as tim_mc but chose to run the wiring and hoses around through the fender. Used one of the holes in the washer hose grommet as the pass through for the wiring harness.

I don't think the squirters ever worked this good with the old pump, even though I really don't use it much.

I used the S10 bottle and pump as well. I also used the S10 coolant recovery bottle as well.

I copied you with the S-10 tank on my '71 K/10. The sprayers are quite powerful now. I routed the wiring through the bulkhead connector. You can see the yellow and blue wires in the photo.

10 years on this site and I'm still getting great ideas from you guys. One more thing to look for on my next junkyard crawl, or just buy one new.

Re: Anyone hide/reroute windshield washer hoses?

There must be lots of other makes/models of reservoirs with internal pumps that would work well also I should think.

Do you have a picture of the hose routing?

Thanks - No issues - it works a lot better than the OEM setup. I removed the OEM washer pump in the cab and just extended the blue & white leads to the new pump under the hood.

Why would you want the squirters without the wipers?

Re: Anyone hide/reroute windshield washer hoses?

I added a 1975 vette pump to the bottom of my original bottle and ran the hose from It thru the cowl and the hoses run on the inside of the cowl. With it all together you never even know it's been altered except you can't see the hoses in the gutter at the firewall anymore.
