Lower Moulding Striping Refurbishing?

Question for those who have refurbished your Lower Body Mouldings.
Someone posted the great thread on stripping and polishing them, and thats going to be what I’m doing, along with my Grille Surround.
My question is redoing the Stripes.
I’m going with the Black, as it’s original to my truck.
I was looking at appearance and overall durability.
I have the means to tape off and paint the stripes, but also have a local Sign Shop that will cut me the Two sizes in Vinyl tape.
I’m thinking that taping off and painting will kinda be a PITA to get right, but maybe not.
My truck is nowhere near a show winner, but I do want it to look good.
Looking for pointers/insight from anyone that has redone their trim.
Thanks in advance

Re: Lower Moulding Striping Refurbishing?

I think either way would be fine.
Both would need good prep to get the vinyl or paint to stick.
If you go the vinyl and don't like the look all it takes is heat gun to take it off.

X2, it depends on your patience as to what is best...

Mask and use SEM Trim Black. It is the right sheen.
