73 Cheyenne points to hei

Ok fellows I have a 73 Cheyenne that I'm changing to hei can I pull the number 3 wire from the firewall bulk head and replace it with a correct size hei wire terminal and all .

If #3 is the resitance wire lead, thats what I did on my '73 Nova when I converted. Just double check that there is voltage on that wire during cranking. Earlier years (at least passenger cars) did not and you still had to run the I wire from the starter to have coil voltage during cranking.

Actually it's position 105 by the diagram I have that shows it all . But thanks as soon as i can put tranny fluid in I spin it over and check what power I have
