Any Method For Opening Up Spark Plug Wire To Plug Connector?

I have plug wire puller pliers and I do first try to finesse them off by hand first.
But they have been connecting too tight and I have been pulling the connector off the wire and left stuck on the plug pretty tight.
Any Secrets for loosening up the connection a bit before install?
Thanks!

Silicon dielectric grease on the plug tip before install helps. It they seperate after pulling, you will have to start over -- slip the rubber cover back on the wire [silicon helps] -- cut back the insulation, leaving the lead -- then crimp a new metal connector on, and worm the rubber back into place.

Yep, once you don't use it and they stick it's too late.

I’ve opened up the ends with the right sized Philips screwdriver, one that a tad bigger than the ends. The shape of the screwdriver makes it easy to spread the end
