Re: Best headliner
I just ordered one from Summit Racing. Free shipping and I had a 10% off coupon. I was majorly impressed. I didn't think it would be this heavy. I was going to buy one from LMC as they had the best price, but they use the term "cardboard" in their description. I tried calling to see if it was really pressboard or something and not actually cardboard, but I got a clueless person that said "if it says cardboard, then it is cardboard". I'll pay the extra to get it right the first time.
Here is the link to Summit for the black one. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/PUI-67TH10 I bought the molding also. It was Summit brand. It was ok. |

Re: Best headliner
I believe that one from Summit is PUI, did you see anything that would confirm it was ?

Re: Best headliner
I can’t remember where I bought my headliner and trim from, but I couldn’t bring myself to drill holes in the cab since my truck didn’t come with a headliner from factory.
I used Velcro to hold mine up.

Re: Best headliner
I've got the stock holes, but I still want to do something in the middle, so it doesn't sag !

Re: Best headliner
I bought mine from National Parts Depot, it's a PUI.
I used Velcro to prevent it from sagging, works awesome.

Re: Best headliner
I can confirm Velcro improves the hold and appearance. My Original headliner was looking a bit shabby. Removed original liner. Broke the trim that I don't think was original, while doing so. Spayed Lizard skin on the roof and allowed to cure. The original headliner cleaned up very nice. The backer board was warped from years of hanging as the factory tape had broken down. I spayed down the headliner backer board with water, layed it on a glass table. placed some scrap white 3/4" board on top and weighted it down for a day. Next day the headliner looked brand new and straight. The velcro stuck well to the cured Lizard Skin. I used velcro and the 2 original screws to locate and lock down the velcro. Then placed the aftermarket trim which is not as easy as it appears. Finish result is very close to 10 out of 10 and there is a noticeable improvement of less heat on hot sunny days. The added Lizard Skin application was worth the effort.

Re: Best headliner
Some good info PBFUT.
I’ll have to look my OEM headliner to see if it’s salvageable, I kinda remember it being warped & moldy.
