Vent window question

Putting my doors back together and I'm looking at the vent windows. They are in fair shape, no chunks out of the rubber and they function. The seals have like one tiny crack in the corner, but I think they will be fine...THINK.
My question is "If" I did decide to replace them, should I go with just replacing the whole assembly, or should I buy the seal kit and rebuild it? I've read that the aftermarket seals always whistle and make air noise?? Are the complete assemblies ok?... or should I just count my blessings and run the factory ones that I have and just clean them up good and touch the paint up? What is my best bet? I'm more interested in quality than price, I don't mind paying for something that works great, and when I put it in I'm done, but I don't want no junk that don't work right. To save time and I'd like to just buy two new assemblies and drop them in, but not if they suck. Advise please.

Re: Vent window question

Build your own is my Opinion.

I bought all the seals and stuff to Rebuild the ones on my Nephews truck.

I made a jig that will stamp the rivet.

I have yet to use it so???

I do Not know a vendor that supplies a Great Product.

Re: Vent window question

If the rubber flexes they are probably OK to leave as is. Mine was cracking and I was replacing other rubber, so I redid mine. It was not a terrible job. Here is the info about my experience. https://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/...d.php?t=823331

Re: Vent window question

Just another question about vent window restoration. I haven’t seen the “extra” piece of trim (arrow pointing to it) on the glass run channel addressed. Can’t seem to find it online.

Re: Vent window question

If you've removed all of the rivets that hold the triangular frame on the window track, then that trim piece simply slides off of the window track. It has a small thin stainless piece clipped onto it so that the vent window handle doesn't scrape the paint. The stainless piece can be pried off.
