Modifications required to mount 1963 Cab on 1960 Frame?
I know the early stuff differs from the later trucks, but I haven't ever dived into the split on the "knee knocker" / 1963 stuff.
I have found a pretty nice 1963 cab, with significantly less rust, but I just realized the mounts may not be the same ... Can anybody confirm that a 1963 c10 cab will bolt onto a 1960 c10 frame? If the mounts are different, can I get the cab mount pedestals from the 1963 can I weld those to my 1960 frame? Thanks!

Re: Modifications required to mount 1963 Cab on 1960 Frame?
Found this post using this search in my browser:
1963 Chevy C10 cab on 1960 frame site:67-72chevytrucks.com The site:67-72 part restricts the search to this site. The 63 cab in the parts book is listed as a replacement part for 60-62. You had to drill a second hole on the firewall for the hydraulic clutch setup and to relocate the cab mount reinforcement on the front supports to the center plateau where as the 63 cab mount were on the inner plateau closest to the transmission. Good luck, hope this helps. |
