P0342 code

I have an 2001 LQ4 swapped into my 66. The ECU and harness is from a 2005 Silverado. I have a P0342 code - Camshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low.It is causing a hard start situation, once it fires it runs great. I replaced the sensor thinking it would be an easy fix, but the code remains. I checked continuity on the wires from the plug to the ecu, everything checked out. What else would cause this code to continue? The motor has an aftermarket Comp Cam in it. Only thing I can think of is a bad ECU possibly?

Re: P0342 code

Most likely the PCM or wiring is not providing correct voltage or ground to the sensor.

Follow this link for a simple diagnosis process

https://easyautodiagnostics.com/gm/4...ode-definition

There are other links on the page to show you how to bench test the sensor/

Only tool you will need is a common multimeter...
