1970 6cyl 250 Pertronix install

I have installed a Pertronix module in my distributor and added an Ignitor II coil.
My current wiring harness has a yellow wire from the coil and a yellow wire from the starter solenoid , and both those yellow wires are tied to a pink resistor type wire going back to the connector on the firewall.
Do I only need to provide a new non-resistor wire to the coil or should I just replace the pink resistor wire entirely that feeds both yellow wires ?
