Re: Harbor freight tip
That sounds like a way to keep a good spray gun in the tool box.. But for me it could get costly.. The nearest Harbor Freight to me is an hour's drive one way...

Re: Harbor freight tip
Buy 5 or 6 at a time. Initial cost plus $5 per gun and can swap all at once. Guy at counter told me he has 3 guys that bring 4 or 5 in at a time. Not issue for them. Can be one of better guns too. probably cost little more for coverage. Hell at cost of cleaner the evaporation of it from openiong can would cover cost.LOL

Re: Harbor freight tip
Harbor Freight can K M A!
Was in the store recently and noticed something that I could use. It was on sale. I grabbed two and went to cash out. When the guy asked me for my phone number, I kindly explained to him that I never give my personal info to anybody for any reason. That's private. He told me that if I did not have a paid membership, I was not eligible for the sale price. Never heard of a paid membership, just that they always push for personal info. He wouldn't budge. Neither did I. I left the store without anything. And that is the last visit to Harbor for me. |

Re: Harbor freight tip
Nothing dishonest when salesman tell you ." Anything happens to it no matter what you can bring it back and we give you new one and you pay another 5$ for sasme deal on that one" That is word for word.
Same as IRS telling rich dudes years ago if you pay x amount now you do not have tax bill for ten years. If you do math and sve tons of money and take the offer it is just taking what is given.

Re: Harbor freight tip
There's also the view point. That's it's just encouraging China. To continue to flood the American market, with sub par crap.
If you're to lazy to correctly clean a spray gun. Or actually use more than $5 in cleaning sovent. There's bigger issues at play probably. |

Re: Harbor freight tip
Why waste my time and add more chemicals to atmosphere to clean a gun, Nothing lazy about it rather be doing something productive with my tim :i, ke one of the other dozen project I have going on . Thius paint thing is just another new hobby and still have machine work, race car and fabrication stuff waiting .
As for cost at $20 a gallon just opening can and couple bucks evaporate. Simple economics of deal make it more sensible to pay the $5. Guess if half way clean or let gun set in solvent might use less than 5 buck worth, not counting time. Heck took 3 guns back two weeks ago guy laughed and said want 3 more and guess buyiung protection plan for them too? Asked if sure did not want to get few more? Encouraging china to flood with cheap crap. That funny as hell. Another point wpould be I am trashing thier cheap crap. Price of gun is so cheap if was not getting replaced i would trash it and buy another. At 5 bucks iot is cheaper than a spray can. Seems funny as hell that folks think its bad thing. When company tells you if you buy this plan at $5 bucks you can bring it back for any reason for replacement. Thier sale pitch is just that. Some upper did the math and came up with selling plan and replacement made the money or would not be doing it.

Re: Harbor freight tip
I'm not sure why you're so interested in promoting this (based on your many posts about it). Those who like the idea will do it and those who don't won't.
Some of us like the idea of reusing thing. That's why we have old trucks rather than Priuses that can and should be scrapped after a bit.

Re: Harbor freight tip
They did sale a plan and they push you to buy it with every sale. They make a point if telling you if anything happen no matter what you can return it. That is quote Word for word. The regualr warranty is 90 days and may do the same not sure.
Somne where up the ;ladder someone figured this was good for thier business or they would not have it in place. I figure what ever the cost of the plan which varies based on product or cost of and the cost is pretty much their cost. I aksed if you thought it was wrong. Meaning your opinion.Morals are just that opinions oifright and wrong,Most based on how or how it binifits. I figure nobody here has gone to local HF and asked about it. Which would give a real basis for opinion of shady or taking what is offered as good deal.Maybe do not have one close by, Here I haver one 15 miles either direction or close to. I did state warranty and is actually protection plan which basically extends warranty period but has to be purchased seperately which I did state few times in thread. See it any way you want. When you are told if you buy this plan you can do what ever to it and returnit . We will replace it no questions. Doing so is just taking them up on offer. Now on thier top of line 180 dollar gun the plan is lot more and makes cleaning worth the trouble and cost. It is also hell of lot better gun or works better for me. Cheapo's are for epoxy primers or just a junker repair. Enjoy clean paint gun and burning time and money onstead of taking offer to save the tgrouble? Have fun me I will take the offer to bypass for 5 bucks per gun after intial buy that is.
