Crate engine 700r4 combo help

I知 looking into buying a gm crate engine 350/357 hp part #19433034 it uses an externally balanced flexplate part #14088765 which is 153 tooth 12.750鋳 in size. I have an auxiliary case 700r4 transmission I知 going to have rebuilt.probuilt has a heavy duty kit that comes with all the upgrades. All this will be mated to a np205, I already have the output shaft kit from advance adapter to connect the transmission to the transfer case. My confusion is will the flexplate that the engine comes with work with the 700r4? What torque converter will I need? As far as exhaust, I知 just thinking of exhaust manifolds. Part numbers will be great. As soon as I figure this out I can start buying parts. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks Coppertone

It should work. I have a rebuilt 350 tbi from a '90 suburban and the stock flexplate worked fine with my 700r4 K case trans with passenger drop 241C. I'm using ram horns instead of the factory 90's manifolds also. Works great.

Re: Crate engine 700r4 combo help

Yes it will work. I have the same combo but in a 2 wheel drive. 350/357 and level 2 700R4 Trans. I did have to buy a new flex plate when I installed the 700 trans as there was not enough gap between the flex plate and the converter when the converter is pushed all the way in the trans. Don't remember what the spec is but I seem to recall somewhere about 1/4" or so. My trans guy said my flex plate must have ballooned out with the previously installed trans. Just something to check. You will like the engine, not the smoothest idle but good power
