LS Swap Exhaust Manifold
Hi All
Doing an LS swap on a 1966 C10 and was wondering if a Camaro manifold will fit without doing any frame mods. Also will a 5.3 4l60 fit the low hump floor. Oil pans...I have the deep pan what is the best pan to get that won't stick down below the cross member. Any information would be helpful |

Re: LS Swap Exhaust Manifold
Can’t answer the question about headers -interested to hear what you find out- oil pan, I used the ctsv sump which fits well and is about an inch above the crossmember plus has a windage tray.
I went this route as the holley pan was expensive and the ctsv pan, new, was $100. P.

Re: LS Swap Exhaust Manifold
The stock truck pan (deep) will be below the cross-member but one to 2 inches. If your truck is lowered, do so at your own risk. You will not be able to shut the motor down quickly enough to avoid damage. The Holley or China reproduction is recommended. Be sure to get the matching dipstick.
I have read where the Trail Blazer SS manifolds are your best bet for frame clearance. The position of the motor and the installed height all make a difference, so trying the manifolds in your truck is the only real answer. |

Re: LS Swap Exhaust Manifold
Unless you're absolutely wanting oem manifolds, I've had really good results with Summit Racing cast iron manifolds. They even offer ceramic coated as well. Will be using them on the current '66 short step 4.8/4L60e build as well.

Re: LS Swap Exhaust Manifold
I have shorty s10 headers on mine. I also cut my crossmember and lowered the engine to set it on Corvette mounts.
