There’s no such thing as 3pt belts for the 1972 with original style buckles, that I know of anyways. Keep the original 2pt belts, they are beautiful. I just restored this set for someone.
Last pic is the Before.

Re: Seat belts with original style buckles.

Member T_korineck used to sell them. Used to be in this thread https://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/...ght=seat+belts At one time there were pics and such. Appear to be deleted. Something about GM not allowing the buckles to be reproduced. Kind of a strange explanation as the generic looking buckle belts he sells have the same GM logo on the button.

Those are not actually “GM original belts”. Which is why I made the statement in the above post about there not actually being stock 3pt belts for the 67-72 trucks. They are actually aftermarket belts that were made into 3pts. Which there’s nothing wrong with that if someone doesn’t care about the look of the aftermarket retractor and some of the other parts being aftermarket.
Personally I like the original looking belts, but that’s just me. I had aftermarket belts at one time in my truck and I didn’t care for them.

Correct, which is why I said "Member T_korineck used to sell them" The belts he currently sells are the only ones shown in the thread.

Are these for a 73-78 truck? I've not seen that color blue in 68-72 models. The one buckle that is a different shade of blue looks like 68-72 medium blue, but the other color looks like a s73-78 color to me.

These are 1968 belts. They were done to match his seat. The colors used for the dye on the new buckles were the 73-74 Slate Blue. It didn’t really matter what color the original buckles were anyways because they were broken. I got new blue, sanded and dyed them the color needed. You gotta remember that all the plastic parts fade differently due to how much sun they got over the years. They were all the bright blue, you could tell the true color under the buckles.
The new webbing is the 3 panel Medium Blue. Here’s more pictures.
This is the seat materials we were matching.

*'68 Belts.
1967 seatbelts were of the Airline type. The whole top hinged up to release. No center GM Button. No plastic. Some had a Bow Tie cast into the buckle face.
