Front wheel bearing seal
1971 C20 Spindle
This rotor does not look properly seated on spindle. From reading on here the seal does NOT mount flush. Should the seal not run on the Spindles most inner race?

Re: Front wheel bearing seal
Id say the seal should be on the clean edge...

Re: Front wheel bearing seal
Well to start it looks to me the seal is not all the way installed in the rotor. It should be flush with the edge of the rotor hub. If it was me I would remove the seal from the rotor and test fit the seal on the spindle. Before test fitting it clean off the spindle and check for burrs sand accordingly. Then apply some grease to the spindle where the seal goes and test fit.

Re: Front wheel bearing seal
Shouldn’t there be a dust shield between the seal and the spindle?

Re: Front wheel bearing seal
Seal is in correct orientation. These seals from reading on here do NOT sit flush.
Regarding the dust shield - very hard to find a C20 shield for these trucks.
