Re: Door skins

I don't remember the last time I saw door skins available for any 47/72 Chevy truck. I'm not sure now that they were even an aftermarket item and may have been though dealer parts counters. It's been since the 70's that I have seen anything on replacing a door skin on anything.

All Auto metal direct shows is the lower door skin sections.

Re: Door skins

that'll be a home built panel I think. if you could make it UNDER that boy line it would be easier, unless you have a break.
I will be doing the same panels on my doors when the time comes. just under that body line. gonna be a home built panel cuz I haven't found a tall skin like that. a full aftermarket shell is big bucks here in Canada and likely wouldn't fit anyway.
is your panel rusty, dented?

I was going to cut it off to the body line or just under, but I wanted to have plenty to start with.
