Best Hood Hinges?
I'm in need of hood hinges for my '64. Do I buy used or get new ones? What is the quality of the new ones?

If you have a pair that are worn out, there are paces where they rebuild them. Like this one... https://www.hoodhingerepair.com/

You can also look at simplec10.com for his removal of springs and he used hydraulic shocks.

Re: Best Hood Hinges?
A good set of original hinges are best. I wouldn't trust any of the aftermarket.
Unless your willing to spend $$$ and get these https://eddiemotorsports.com/product...49777920442684

Have heard more than one bad experience with aftermarket hinges.

Re: Best Hood Hinges?
I'm running the Porter Built hood hinges. Maybe it's operator error, but they were a bear to get installed and actually be able to line up the panels correctly. My main issue was getting the back of the hood down far enough to match with the cowl panels. Unless you're slamming your truck, I would recommend staying with the originals.
