suburban carpet stock interior acc review

Hello all,

Trying to install the carpet in a 89 v2500 burb and it is not close. The Stock interiors website is deceptive as the 4.8 star review for my carpet kit is not for my carpet but the website. I had to ask for a link to write a review but i don't see it helping as it will be lost in 300 reviews that have nothing to do with my square.

Anyhow,

I did not bother with the front yet. not worth it.

1, the cargo area cut wrong and i would need to trim the spare tire opening cutting off the binding for the finished edge.

2 OEM cargo has Jute, this nothing.

3, the wheel well covers do not have the fold to go vertical on the exterior surface wall. It is crudely cut off leaving gaps between it and the wall panel

4, the second row is missing all the molding to accommodate the seat mounting points. It may lay but if i make one hole/modification i own it.

5, the carpet was made in different axis, the same dye lot but cut 90 degree to one another causing them to appear different colors.

I did not see the value in continuing. If you have ZERO carpet, it would be better than nothing. I am going to remove my carpet and steam clean it.

Cheers,
Chris

One more item to note, The second row OEM has the Jute cut and fastened to the floor pan. It is cut around the location where the east mount. there is only carpet between the seat and the floor, no padding.

I am sending it all back, I am not sure if it is easy or not to remove the jute to match the OEM. I did not want to damage anything before i returned it.

FWIW, Not trying to bash ACC or SI. Just wanted to let you know, don't rip out all you semi-decent carpet first, you might not be happy with the work involved to get the New Stuff to look right.

Re: suburban carpet stock interior acc review

Solution,

I bought locking gym matt the the cargo. lays nice, ~25$.

Also bought two 3x4' floor matts from Home depot, not too thick, carpet top, firm rubber bottom. Each single was enough to do the both pass and driver.

lays nice, stays in place, around 30 per matt.
Premiere Squares Charcoal 3 ft. x 4 ft. Needlepunch Indoor Commercial Door Mat
https://www.homedepot.com/p/TrafficM...19DI/320266816

total. ~under 100 and back on the road.

Re: suburban carpet stock interior acc review

Sorry to see the poor fitment. I also purchased from ACC....but a vinyl floor for my '68 C10 and it wasn't close either. I farted around with the drivers side to get it not-awful; haven't even begun to tackle the passengers side. It's all bunched up and kinked. Fits like trash and has me wondering what to do on my next truck. Despite those comments here that ACC worked great, my results were 2-star at best.

have you talked with acc directly? I've never had an issue with their stuff fitting, but things do happen. We've actually talked to them personally at sema show and they were real helpful. they're not too far away from us either.
Either way it would be good for them to know the issue, they would probably correct it.
