Carrier Bearing failure
So, I have had the carrier bearing mount to fail 3 times. It is breaking where the mount becomes the "T". Why is this happening????

Re: Carrier Bearing failure
Check to make sure your slip joint is not bound up.

Re: Carrier Bearing failure
Did you adjust the pinion angles after lowering?

Re: Carrier Bearing failure
First off is your truck lowered (or lifted)?
Half ton with coils? HD suspension listed on the SPID? The link posted pertains to your problem. Read post 21 where I explain my theories on why these failures occur. If you have more questions i will attempt to answer them. https://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/...d.php?t=853630

Re: Carrier Bearing failure
There should be some front to back adjustment where it mounts. Make sure your truck is at ride height when tightening these bolts. Too far either way will cause extra stress when the suspension is fully compressed, or extended.
