Aftermarket chrome vent windows
Has anyone tried the aftermarket chrome side vent windows? If so any problems with installing or the fit on them? Best place to buy?

Re: Aftermarket chrome vent windows
I bought a set for and put them in a 1968. They did not fit well... Replaced them with restored originals.
Have not had time to restore a set of originals for my 1967 and put them in the 1967 and was shocked at how well they fit. The small screws in the jamb area fit right in. Unlike the on the 68 |

I put a set in my '67
I was able to get them to fit but not as well as I had hoped. The small holes in the upper door frame lined up well enough to get the screws in but I had to elongate the bottom holes. I don't remember the brand but I bought them from Summit.

Re: Aftermarket chrome vent windows
I had my originals rebuilt by Dr J's Restoration several years ago. He did a fantastic job and quick turn around at the time. Can't recall the price, but it was very reasonable. Mine had no rust and I don't know if he re-chromes. Definitely worth a phone call. He was a very nice guy named Jerry Kasich. He has Youtube videos, also. He may have originals rebuilt and ready to go. He's in Oregon.
