Question '67 Manual Sterring Box???

I've read in previous threads that, to install a power steering box onto a '67, the frame needs to dimpled (if one does not exist). Does this also hold true for a manual steering box? My '67 needs a new manual box, and I can get one from an '81, but need to know if this will require that I dimple my frame.
Thanks for the info!!

im not 100% sure but i think that 81 box is different than original. but if it is not no dimple required for non power box.

Got One

When i bought my '67 the PO had installed power steering from an '84 or '85 in it. He also gave me the old manual unit. I have it if you want it. Only charge would be the shipping to you.
If you want it, e mail me at
