4L80e in '91

I just realized that my 91 suburban R2500 with a 7.4liter has a 4L80E transmission. All this time I assumed it was a 4L60. I didnt even know you could get a 4L80 in 91

Mike I'm sure someone will correct us, but as far as I know they never put a 4L60 behind any big block. All big blocks had Turbo 400, or 4L80's...

yep big blocks only had the 4l80e s,91 you'll fine is a tranny all its own,the plug for the electronics is round,the others are square.
there pretty much a 400 with the od.

Damn that's even better than a 700r4 or 4L60e. I think the 4L60e came out in 93? I'd love to have a 4L80E and build it up for manual shifting. It would be the QUADZILLA!!!!
