I just bought a 02 roadking in July. It had 1800 miles on it sure is fun to ride. It rides a lot better than my 79 FLH. I have riden the 79 in the last 4 months.

yea, as long as you keep it under 10 over, they wont bother you, just gotta be careful of the small towns speed limits. We havent gone further than 1200 mile round trips yet, Rode all over south central Arkansas last june. it'll be alot easier on a roadking, thats what I tell my wife when she says she wants to ride through the Applacian(bad spelling) mountain range for our 20th next year.....and more importantly.... love your bike

I`ve got a 2000 sporty 1200 custom and I`m building a special construction softail that`s being built as a Fatboy. since I `m a mechanic at a dealership, I get parts very cheap and sometimes free. Harley did drop the heritage springer but the standard springer is still available for `04.

I also have a 2000 Honda Valkyrie Tourer. This bike will fly, I've had it for almost three years. I will probably sell it soon.

cg, I am only 4 hours from Daytona by bike. I have gone for the last few years, this year, I am taking the Harley. It will have 6 spoke mag wheels, a detachable windshield, passing lamps, Fat Boy bags, and a sissy bar next week. It will be ready. We are meeting my father and a bunch of guys from Ga. I go there with about 5 other guys from here. It's a blast, you should make it if you can. Go the second weekend, March 5,6,and 7 and you will see drunken spring breakers too.

For dinnut, I must say you have very good taste in bikes. Heres mine, it took nearly half a year to get after I ordered it and was one of the last ones built. I was there the day it was delivered. I watched it get unloaded off the semi and uncrated, got pics too.
BTW, I kept the big box that covered it and also the tie downs that held it to the shipping crate. |
