I was planning on buying a blazer and use the axles from it, but ends up someone else bought it, so now im stuck in need of a front axle, and transfer case. Im goin to a swap meet in Des Moines on Feb 1st, and plan to buy a front axle there. How much should I expect to pay? And what do I need to look for when buying one? Also, Can I use my 12 bolt rear from my 2WD truck with trailing arms, and modify it to use leafs on a 4x4 frame?

you might be able to get away with welding some leaf perches on there..... i think the actual axle width might be a LITTLE diffrent, not positive on that one though..... here in california i wouldnt pay over 150 bucks for a dana 44.... there was also three blazers with front axles last time i went to the pick and pull..... availbilty.... check the gearing on the axle you buy, could be a good selling point if it is the right gearing you will want to run or not
