The system is complete, but I would assume no one would want the tank shipped. It was for a 250 6 cyl. It appears it may be adaptable to other carbs. The portion that mounted to the manifold was just the bottom of the orignal carb. Sorry for sounding like an idiot. This was the first propane system I have seen, Anyways, if your interested in converting.........$125 obo

I don't have pics of it. I can take them, but it will be the weekend before I have daylight.

When I bought the truck with this system on it, I asked these questions also:

I never checked gas mileage (never filled the tank up), but others said it was slightly less than gas. It was also to have slightly less horsepower.

I converted it back to gas for resale purposes. I personally found that it started easier, and didn't need to warm up before driving with the propane. But with the new carb, it was really cold blooded. Someone mentioned extreme cold effecting propane, but I never experienced any problems. But In the Denver area, we don't have real long cold spells either. The coldest I would have started the truck would have been about 10 degrees above.

There is the issue of finding a station that sells propane. I found a couple close and used them. I also thought about having it delivered when they filled my homes propane tank, but never inquired.

My honest assessment.....If I wasn't selling the truck, then I would have converted it back. My truck ran better with it, than it did without. I didn't notice the loss of horsepower either. But it was only a six cylinder.

Just think what you're doing for the environment with propane!

Charlie, I have been collecting bits a pieces of propane stuff for the past 3 years. If you have no takers, wait until the next time gas spikes up again. They will be coming out of the wood work to buy it

I have watched that happen with propane stuff on ebay...lol

Thanks for the link,,, interesting reading,,, but with Propane now at $1.56 per gallon and not really a increase in MPG.. but is much easier on the engine.. I agree.. I am still considering it myself.. for my 72,, and if you read the link.. He's driving a RAMBLER!

You need to shop around. Don't be going to the places that fill gas grille tanks

they will be expensive all the time. I have seen it at 99 cents recently.

Also, in some states, and I think Cali is one of them. You buy a yearly sticker and you don't have to pay any state taxes on the fuel. And believe me there is a lot of tax on fuel!

ttt for you Charlie. Gas is on the rise and will continue to go up some more. People should start coming out of the wood work for this stuff
