Tires
I have 6 lug 8X15 wheels. What tire size can I use that will "fill up" the fender wells the most? Currently running 225/75/15R. I would like to go bigger, but still want a good ride and a quite tire. I am partial to BF Goodrich. Any suggestions would help.

275/60-15's work great on 15x8 wheels....they fill up the fenders nicley, but are still kind of a performance tire so they are quiet, and have good traction.

I have the Cooper Cobra's on my GMC and I love 'em. They track nice and are very quiet. The price is right too. They are a better tire than the BFG's performance-wise, but you do see alot of the BFG's on classics.

I thank all for responding. I am interested in he size reccomendation as well as the type. I have one suggestion of 725/60/15R. Any other feedback?

well you can go up to 295 if you have the right back spacing, most tire shops should be able to measure up the wheels for ya

I have 31x10.5 on 15x8s they fill up real nice and I don't have to have a lift or anything.

I just got some 255 /60 15's and they are pretty wide. While I was at the store they lined up 235's, 245's, 255's and 275's. If you can, find a tire shop and have them do the same for you so you can see the different widths and tire heights. I chose the 255's because I thought they would look the best (for my taste) and the price was decent (Sears has BFG's on sale for $88 and change ea.)
