Sawzall fun *warning graphic pics*

I always wanted a 71 or 72 grille with a billet insert. But, alas, I have a 70 model. What's a guy to do..........

Very clean. Thanks for sharing, but how did you attach the inserts? Is that weldable?

That does look sweet. I'm still contemplating this mod myself, in the phantom version.

Unhappy

AHHHhhhhh... you hacked a perfectly good 69-70 grill!!!

I would have swapped you my 71-72 outer for that one... My original grill got raped by a deer, and I found a 71 for cheap, so I did the billit insert. I love it, and yours looks great!!!

i thought you were gonna use the 71-72 style grill i thought you were buying... that looks good! i had wondered why people didnt do this when going to billet in the 69-70 trucks and not spend all that extra money!

I don't believe it's a repro. It's been on the truck for 24 years at least that i know of. I'm pretty sure they didn't have repros back that long ago.

I had a feeling you would say that...but I won't start the "69-70" original grille debate here... It's been done to death...peeps are gonna think one or the other just as I think the grille you started with is repro...But again, nice Hack on that REPRO Grille TX

aren't the '70 grilles the ones that they DON'T reproduce?

I cannot condone such activity, but hey...your grille and your money. Can't say much else.
