It looks like I will be going to a training class from 2/18-27 and I was wondering what is out there. I will have the weekend off from training and would like to know what there is to do or places to see.

If I remember right, there is a cable tram deal on the east end of town that goes up on top of a big mountain. It was a long time ago, I thought it was neat. If nothing else, it will help pass the time!

Lived there for a year,, yes there is a cable tram,, and lots of bike and walking trails up the mountain,, there is a air force museum,, and on weekends there is a large swap shop,, seems they have different prices for "locals" and "tourists" there.. and got lots of tourquise jewerly, but watch for the "made in china" stuff. I'm sure there are lots of "rust free" junkyards there, but didn't have my truck at that time.. Santa Fe is great for skiing,, as well... all depends on what you want to do.. the downtown area is also a good bar area on the weekends... up north is a Indian reservation with shops,, as well as "bingo" if you want adventure,, grab a hot air ballon ride in the morning there!
