No decent hatch for it, but I think I have a busted one if a guy wants to take it...no hardware tho' |

Hey Diane I would love to take it but won't have a way to get it or the place to store it until this summer. I am not saying or asking you to hold it but if you have it this summer, i am there.

I just broke my single wall top. I now have a broken single wall top and a broken double wall top. Which is better? What are the benefits?
I am going to repair one of them, and I don’t know which one. Thanks for any advice, Darryl M. Vallot 1972 K5 Blazer |

Single wall is better it is stonger. Something to do with the metal lattice work. They have a tendicy to crack or bow in the middle.

Jaydubblazer is right- the double wall is seamed down the middle, so it can have a tendency to bow thru the middle. The double wall tops are nice tho because they help cut down on the condensation on the interior of the blazer. Also the dblwall has the bolting hardware inside hidden from view so it is a little cleaner look. All in all I think the singlewall is probably the better of the two. That is why this top isn't worth too much. Is anyone interested in buying it? How about $50??? I would just like to have it out of my yard

I need a back hatch handle really bad.
Any chance you have one in your spare parts . If it's the original one with a key I'll give $50.00 including shipping. Please let me know

Hatguy- I will check with my hubby Ken on what we have. We have 3 different tops and hatches, and I need one full set of hardware for my 70 and I have promised another full set to a board member. I will try to get him to go thru the hardware this weekend and get back to you. Thanks!

I will ask that other board member and see what I can do about the handle.
Thanks for the compliments about the blazer....I am not sure on a time frame for when we will be done, but right now the next step is a roll bar. My husband is a welder/fabricator, so I am just waiting on him to finish up our aluminum roll bar so that we can glue down the sound deadner and carpet, then finish the interior. We also have to finish aligning all the body panels, and then just mount the bumpers and finish the woodgrain side trim. Not to bad I guess... seems like alot! After it is "finished" we also have plans to change over the front axle to a 71/71 disc brake axle we have. And then at some point do HEI ignition. If I like driving it after it is done then we will be selling our Honda CR-V and this blazer will be my daily driver... crazy eh? Diane |
