A/C question
I'm sure this has been asked before but is there anyone here running after market air? with a (shaved firewall) i would like too see some pics and find out what system you went with. i have been told that the (hotrod unit from vintage air) is the way to go. i want to keep it as clean as possible. like the silver one below not a good pic of the hoses but you get the idea of what i'm talking about.

Nice setup..........I believe vintage air is around $1k cost factor.....
I dropped them an email and received a email with the instructions attached.... Might give you an idea how everything goes to help decide.....

Check with Tim christian in Tenn as I believe he is a dealer for vintage air.
Have heard mixed reviews on Vintage air, Old Air, etc. from guys in the south west/ texas etc. re capacity of cool in the summer. Might want to do as much checking before deciding. I too am considering the conversion to aftermarket air as long as it looks stock at the dash---original vents, controls. I also am doing a SWB silver truck and it will have a flush firewall/inner wheel wells, etc. love that uncluttered look!!!! Just not sure what to do with the power disc brakes~~~Huck~~ |
