Power window recommendations
New to the board, wanted to get some input on a power window conversion in my '68. Want to keep my wing windows. I've seen two set-ups, one in Brothers that replaces the stock regulator and one from LMC that doesn't. I've heard some complaints about sloppiness at certain window heights. Is there a better set-up? Thanks for any input.

I think the only "sloppiness" is with the one piece windows. With the wing window still there it should be the same as stock.

I can't speak for LMC and what they use for a power window conversion and I don't know what Brothers carries either. I used power window regulators from A-1 Electric. They work great and mount directly in place of the original regulator. You shouldn't have any window slop at any height if you retain the stock glass with wing windows. The slop you are hearing about only comes from one piece side glass which does away with the wing windows. Let us know what you end up with and how you like it.

Thanks! Checked out A1, - the Electric Life set-up seems like the way to go. Any preference on switches? They have about seven varieties. This is a great site, gentlemen. Thanks for your help!

The A-1 gm49-k kit works pretty good in stock side glass trucks but not in 1pc glass trucks, the SPW kit is the best kit for stock or 1pc if you want a put it in and forget it no hassle no problem kit. We use GM switches in our conversions available thru us or at your local GM dealer.
