Electric Front Actuator on 4x4

Hi,
I have a 1991 GMC P/U. I put in a new Front electric actuator because I thought it was bad. Not the case. Where is the switch located that engages the electric actuator? Is it one of the connectors on the transfer case?

Randy

PS: I can not find a schematic for the electric 4wd.

that is a common problem

you could try one of these they work really well and eliminate all the electric components

Yes. The actuator did come with a harness. Different style actuator with this adapter style harness. It didn't work and I really didn't like it. A friend had a spare 2 wire actuator that works, so I have that. I ordered the Transcase Electric Switch(?). I hope that fixes it.

Yeah. I like that. The new actuator cost $285. The Manual one in your link is $170. I'll see what Dad thinks.

Thanks,
Randy
