Question Column CV Joint Boot Availability

Just want to know if this boot is still
available from any source? I don't know
what year or model this came out of or if
it's specific to a tilt column. I've
got one in my truck also, but I don't know
if it's original to a '69 c/10? I don't see
any reference to it in LMC's catalog.

Has anyone bought one recently? I need a
part number or year and model.

BTW - it's the one with grease oozing out, if
it wasn't obvious in my post.

Just putting this thread to the top,
hoping to find somewhere that has
this boot? Or what to call it if it's
not a boot.

Anyway, if I have to use what I've got
I will

According to the exploded view here I got from one of the excellent members of the board, it is called the abrasion shield. Hopefully Javy will get you the part #.

Javy, thanks for getting the number. The
dealer I tried had a book to look up the drawings
and the numbers, but it looked 20+ years old and
the name and number wasn't there for the part.

Thanks for the name, Bndt - every little detail
helps when going in for these parts it seems.

I'll let ya'll know what I find...
