I've got an old power steering setup that I don't need. It uses the manual box with a "push-pull" hydraulic cylinder. It appears to be original on a '68 anniversary truck. Anybody need something like that?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe some of the early truck ps units were identical to those used on Corvettes. So ya, it would probably worth something to someone. I'd research it a little more and then maybe market it to some car guys.

GM used the same units on their big cars too. I have seen that setup on Impalas too. For some reason, when they switched to a self contained power steering box, the Corvette retained the old style hydraulic ram style setup. I think they kept it that way all the way up to end of the production of C-3 Vettes in 1982. It must have been a good system if they used it that long. I've had a few vettes in the past and really liked the feel of that system. It was more of a power assist than a full power steering system.

It's worth a LOT to some of these guys trying to drive one of these old trucks with manual steering!

I bought a rebuilt control valve for the same setup you're describing, for my '68 from these guys:

Their price might give you a baseline for what you can expect to get out of yours.
