Heads
I was looking at my truck and was informed that the motor, which is a 283 and I know is not the original, has "Power Pac" heads. Can anybody tell me if there is anything special about them. Just wondering? Thanks ahead of time.

If they need a rebuild, i would proably just put a pair of later-model 305 HO heads on it (great match for a 283) and save some money, but if they are on there i wouldn't bother removing them. The biggest problem would be if they are virgin heads, or were rebuilt awhile ago is that they would lack hardended valve seats for use with unleaded fuel

Ok to use on small bore blocks such as 265 &283. If used on large bore (327-350) comp. will be to high. Also no acc. bolt holes in heads for late model stuff.
